Perinatal counselling

Support through the emotional, physical, and psychological shifts from conception into the postnatal period. Topics may include (but are not limited to):

Pregnancy

  • Hyperemesis Gravidarum

  • Tokophobia (fear of childbirth)

  • Anxiety / OCD / intrusive thoughts

  • Previous birth trauma / PTSD / CPTSD

  • Historic abuse impacting the perinatal period

  • High risk pregnancy fears

  • Life-limiting or terminal diagnoses

Postnatal

  • Recovery following postnatal psychosis

  • Difficult or traumatic birth experience (it does not have to have been a life threatening event; all negative feelings around your birth are valid).

  • Unfulfilling feelings about motherhood

Pregnancy & baby loss counselling

Whether you said goodbye to your baby at 9 weeks of pregnancy, whether you have given birth to your baby sleeping, or you have only had your baby with you for a few hours after birth, you deserve to be nurtured, cared for, listened to, and supported.


Any loss is supported, whatever the circumstances.

Women’s health counselling

Support centred entirely on you. Topics may include (but are not limited to):

  • Health and wellbeing concerns for women and people assigned female at birth

  • Gynaecological or sexual health concerns causing psychological distress

  • Menopause and perimenopause

  • Life transitions and identity shifts

  • Late diagnosed neurodivergence in women or people identifying this way

  • Navigating neurodiversity in pregnancy and early parenthood

  • Domestic abuse

  • Sexual violence and rape

  • Trauma experienced by birth partners

  • Vicarious trauma experienced midwives and maternity staff



Counselling support £60 per 50 minute session

Counselling is available in a way that suits you, face to face, online, walk and talk, or even alongside canine companions.
