Comfort with Canines

Comfort with Canines

Sometimes the quiet presence of a dog can make all the difference. Support dogs can offer comfort, companionship and a calming presence, helping you feel more settled and supported throughout your session.

For many people, stroking a dog or simply having them nearby can reduce anxiety, encourage grounding and make it easier to open up about difficult thoughts and feelings.

Meet Ziggy and Rosie

Ziggy, a friendly Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and Rosie, a gentle Labrador, are much loved members of the team. Ziggy is happiest curled up on a lap enjoying a cuddle, while Rosie prefers to stay close by, offering quiet reassurance and the occasional nudge for a fuss.

Their role isn't to 'do' therapy, but to provide a comforting, non-judgemental presence that many clients find incredibly soothing during counselling and trauma therapy sessions.

Is Comfort with Canines right for you?

If you enjoy being around dogs and feel they help you to relax, Ziggy and Rosie can join your face to face counselling or Walk & Talk sessions. Their presence is always your choice, and if you would like one or both dogs to be with us, simply let me know when booking your appointment.

Sessions last 50 minutes and are £60, taking place face to face in Ongar or during Walk & Talk sessions in Essex, predominantly Ongar and Chelmsford. Online sessions are available but without the benefit of the dogs
