Hospital Birth Workshop
Do you feel prepared for birth?
Have you written a trauma informed birth plan?
Do you know your rights, and the choices you might be asked to make along the way?
Would you like to understand the stages of labour, effective coping strategies, and what will happen to your body and your baby during birth?
These are just a few of the things we talk about in my birth preparation workshops, and we cover so much more.

Discussion Topics
Coping mechanisms: TENS, aromatherapy, massage, breathing techniques, water, affirmations, medical pain relief and ways to increase oxytocin, plus lots more.
Upright birthing and movement: How positioning and movement can help labour progress.
Birth hormones: Understanding the hormones involved in birth, and how to naturally support the ones that help labour and birth along.
Birth types: Understanding physiological (unassisted vaginal) birth, assisted birth and theatre births.
Biomechanics and foetal positioning: Techniques to help optimise your baby's position for birth.
Stages of labour: Breaking down each stage of the birthing process, what may happen, and how to promote a positive birth experience.
Birth partner preparation: Involving your partner and empowering them to support you effectively.
Adapting to changes: How to make informed decisions if plans change, such as induction, health issues, a change of birth place or emergencies.

Plus a whole lot more!
